Kintyre Way
Take a walk on the wild side. Walk, run or cycle 100 miles around Kintyre's beautiful coastline - Stretching from Tarbert in the North to Machrihanish in the South 'The Kintyre Way' criss-crosses the peninsula offering several way marked trails with a variety of walking terrain from serious hiking to gentle strolls. Discover hidden coves, deserted beaches, woods and forests, castles and tiny fishing villages along with an abundance of wildlife at every stage.
Carradale
There are several walks in and around Carradale ranging from short and easy walks along the shore to the strenuous Cnoc nan Gabhar walk to the summit of Deer Hill for stunning views across to Arran and as far as Ailsa Craig and the Antrim Coast.
Skipness
A great circular walk exploring the impressive 13th century Skipness Castle and chapel, continuing on through the woodalnds of Campbell's Glen and views to Arran and Lochranza from Skipness Point.
Campbeltown Loch and Davaar Island.
Just south of Campbeltown a long causeway links Davaar Island to the mainland at low tides. Once on the island you can explore a number of sea caves including one which has the famous crucifixion painting which was discovered in 1887. Then follow a track to the lighthouse at the northern most point enjoying great views across Campbeltown Loch.
Isle of Arran
Take a short ferry ride from Claonaig to Lochranza on Arran where there is an excellent bus service and explore the many walks on Arran. Climb Goatfell, the Island's highest peak with it's stunning views or take a gentle stroll around the gardens of Brodick Castle.
Isle of Gigha
There are a variety of walks to do on the island exploring the natural wonders of the island and taking in historic sites too.
Isle of Jura
For those who want a real challenge - try the strenuous circular walk taking in the three Paps of Jura
